Discover something truly meaningful at Yalanji Arts & Gifts on Macrossan Street.
This beautiful store connects visitors directly with the culture and creativity of
the Kuku Yalanji people, with every piece made by local artists from Mossman
Gorge Aboriginal Community and surrounding areas.
Manager Sabine Hoeng works closely with artists to guide designs from
concept to final product. The Yalanji Arts studios are situated in the
Mossman Gorge Community where the artists hand print their fabric
designs, create their ceramics, and design their own merchandise
which is produced in Australia.
The shop in Port Douglas is a place loved by both visitors and locals,
with many residents having long-standing connections to Yalanji
families. Drop in to hear the stories behind the art.
