A chef guided food tour of the Port Douglas region, collecting fresh produce from local farms for a delicious lunch.
Port on a Plate is proud to offer a new concept food tour. Spend the morning visiting local farms with your personal guide and chef. Sample and collect produce. Enjoy a three course lunch created especially for you, using the farms ingredients.
Our first stop on the trail is Sweet Farm tours, a farming family that has been farming Sugarcane for over 100 years and now also produces Cacao. Taste a refreshing sugar cane and lime drink, hear some of the farms history from the farmers themselves and taste some Daintree Estates chocolate.
Our next stop is the Daintree Saltwater Barramundi Farm where we collect our fish, the star ingredient of our tropical lunch, and enjoy a tour of the farm, including fish feeding.
We then travel to the Shannonvale Winery for a Tropical fruit wine tasting and a three course lunch prepared with ingredients collected during the tour.
